This is terrible and I feel like Apple did this on purpose to have everyone to switch to Apple Music, like I just did from Amazon Music to just get my new Beats wireless 3 and iwatch to be more compatible with my music app. Unfortunately, my 1st gen beats wireless is falling apart and 2nd gen Beats Studio wireless is not too comfortable to workout in. ![]() I have an old 1st gen Beats wireless and 2 gen Beats Studio wireless and when I used those during a workout and when the timer goes off it just vibrates and the music is still playing with no interruptions. But it is still annoying that the music stops when the timer goes off, it throws my whole rhythm off during a workout session. did work, it did resume music when timer on the iwatch goes off, when you select repeat or stop, but not with Amazon Music or Pandora, it only works with "Apple Music". Tested using only countdown timer and music (and not running strength training app) Turned off "Push Alerts from iPhone" on my Apple Watch settings So far to troubleshoot after reading suggestions online, I have: ![]() I would then have to press "repeat" on the timer, but then switch over to music and press "play" to resume music. Working out this morning, every time my countdown timer ended, the music would pause. Yesterday, I updated my iPhone 8 to iOS 12,and my Apple Watch to Watch OS 5. Start Apple Watch Countdown timer (which notifies me with alert when interval done, then I press "repeat"). Start Apple Watch Workout App (Strength Training) Start Sirius XM App or Apple Music on my iPhone, playing through my Airpods I have been using my Apple Watch Series 3, with my iPhone 8 and Apple Airpods for the past year during my workouts.
